ALL BRITISH DISPLAY DAY - SATURDAY 25TH JULY 2015.
CELEBRATING 40 YEARS OF JAGUAR XJC.
This is our Hunter Region MG Car Club Outing in support of the Jaguar Drivers Club Hunter Region All British Display Day.Each year the JDCHR gives excellent support to our club by their attendance at our EURO DAY.Accordingly we have the tradition of supporting their ABDD which is held on one of the most attractive settings in the Newcastle area. The venue is listed below --
Fellow members, we are expecting a turnout of at least 20 MGs or more (hopefully) so we need you to support our request & also to enjoy the large display of british cars which will also comprise our MGs.The venue attracts a large gallery of public spectators & is ideal for our club to promote itself & MGs & to attract MG enthusiasts to our ranks.
It is the intention we arrive En Masse. Our assembly point will be our usual collecting area at Honeysuckle Drive just East of the Hannell Street, Stewart Avenue intersection on the harbour side of Honeysuckle Drive. All MGs should be ASSEMBLED no later than 9 - 15AM SHARP to arrive in convoy at 9 - 30AM at Foreshore Park.Members should bring their windscreen display sashes & wear their name tags.
This is a very enjoyable day.
We are starting another outing for club member`s.Although it is not a totally new idea, it is a run that has not been included on our Club Calendar for some time.Austin Blanch has stirred us into action and has agreed to run this event, Wayne Routley will assist Austin. The Tuning Runs are open to all members, full registered and historic "plated" cars alike are eligible for this event.Cars on historic plates must carry a copy of "On The Marque"with them to be able to prove to the authorities that you are on a"Club Run".The 1st tuning run will be on thursday 23rd July Starting point for the tuning run will be Hexham MacDonalds. The date will be the 4th Thusday of each month. The times are, meet 9.30 a.m. To leave at 10.00 a.m.You must be on time, because the destinations will not be inour magazine , or on the web.

GATHERING OF THE FAITHFUL & THE TOUR 2015.
I refer to the article on page 12 of the April issue of the club magazine "On the Marque".
It seems members do read the articles as there has been an excellent & prompt response from members who wish to take part in the tour.
Reasonably priced motel accommodation in Wagga over the GOF weekend is at a premium as this is the 20th Anniversary of GOF meetings while at the same time & over the same weekend Wagga also hosts an annual large Blues music weekend festival.
The club has secured 15 rooms/units for members wishing to accompany the tour & to date 18 members in 10 MGs have been included. With only 5 more rooms available any other members who wish to attend should contact Brian on 4946 9174 or email Brian at email@example.com to secure a position on the tour.
Remember the tour is being filled on a first come first in basis with a reserve list to be compiled as necessary.
Cheers & Best Wishes,
