Electronic Overdrive Won’t Engage, Particularly in Hot Weather

Need a hint here please. On a hot day my o/drive won’t engage.

1 Oil level in the gearbox?

2 Switch on the overdrive?

Something else?

Oil filter may require cleaning clean r/v ball & spring.

Filter clean and oil change. Check correct oil viscosity.

Same oil as gearbox…20w 50.
